Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a special Easter weekend. I most certainly did! My family came to visit me and we had a blast. I love having a reason to celebrate with my loved ones.
About a month ago I received the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer complimentary from Influenster for reviewing purposes! I love having this opportunity to be able to share right here on my blog. If you have been wanting to try a new, all-encompassing foundation primer, keep reading 🙂
I have now been using this primer for a month, every single day and I have REALLY been enjoying it. My skin type is oily combination. I’m oily in my T-zone and dry in my cheeks. This primer claims to:
- conceal redness to even skin tone
- minimize the look of pores, fine lines, and imperfections
- create a smooth, even surface prepared for foundation to glide on and stay on
- layer onto skin without adding weight
- have SPF 15
- be oil-free
- repel water
- be paraben-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free and vegan
and I can honestly say that all of this is true to how I have used it. Before receiving this primer, I was using (SEPARATELY) a pore filler, a redness corrector, and a primer. THREE PRIMERS. That’s too much y’all. And too much time. I did not even know that this primer would do those three things all in one…I didn’t know one existed… but it DOES!
I use a semi-heavy moisturizer during the day because it has SPF in it and it is tough to find a lightweight primer that will glide so easily on top of it. This Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer does just that. I love that it’s the first step of my make-up routine. I have even noticed a change in look of my make up. It looks more clean and put together all day long. It’s incredible.
So, here’s the ONLY THING I don’t like about it… When I apply it, it does feel oily. It claims to be oil-free and I believe that but when I first apply, it feels oily. But after waiting a few seconds it goes away. And I have oily skin, so that’s good that it kind of fades away!
The primer retails from $19-$75. You get what you pay for! It is high quality and worth your money.
What primer are you faithful to? Have you tried this primer before? Let me know if y’all have any questions. Have a wonderful rest of your week! April is blooming our favorite flowers. 🙂
xx, Claire
Currently I use the Porefessional by Benefit, but this sounds amazing!! Your review is really selling this for me… maybe I’ll give it a try? x

I’ve tried this before and I loved it for a couple of months but then I started to notice that it started to get a little runny 😦 but overall it really is a great primer 🙂 Great post btw! ❤

Ah, thanks Huyen! That’s good to know for the future… I shake it up every now and then just in case something like that happens. Hopefully it doesn’t
I’ll be looking out for that. xx
