Reflecting on The Little Things

I am writing to you in the midst of my Holiday Series, which might get a little crazy with all the posts but that’s okay. I want to get this out to y’all and stay consistent.

This week started so great with it being the last week of school and being in my friend Anna’s wedding! Ah, I love her and her now HUSBAND so much. They are dear to my heart. I’ll be honest though and say it hasn’t ended great. I just need Jesus to speak Truth over me. I need Jesus at all times. I’ve also been exhausted this weekend which is sadly ironic because I’m done with classes.

Have y’all seen the new Star Wars yet?! I saw it. I think I loved it. Haha. I say it that way because a lot happened in this movie and I need to see it again. I won’t spoil anything for you 😉

I am totally in love with the dress I got to wear in the wedding. And the furs we got to wear too. It was a precious December wedding. I felt like a princess. And I wasn’t even the one getting married. My friend Chim (top right) cried when she saw me because she said I was so beautiful. That made me really happy.

Songs I’ve been listening to:

Every time I listen to Pieces by Amanda Cook I cry. I love where she says “Love keeps its promises. It keeps its word. It honors what’s sacred, cause its vows are good. You’re love’s not broken, it’s not insecure. Your love’s not selfish, your love is pure.” I love “it honors what’s sacred…” like when I look back at my life and the times I or someone else didn’t honor what was once sacred, or supposed to be sacred. Honor is huge. Being dishonored is difficult to overcome. But when we let God’s words over our lives replace what our circumstances say about us, we can overcome. Victory is ours. God’s love is so good and perfect and He is the only one who can love us perfectly this way. Unconditional. Relentless. Fulfilling. Pure. Truthful. Honoring. Worthy. Stable. Secure.

I’ve also been listening to Open Heaven (River Wild) by Hillsong Worship. It’s such a great worship song.

I didn’t try any cool new foods BUT I posted a “How to Make Peppermint Bark” on my blog yesterday!! Go read it. Be looking out tomorrow for another post on how to make a fun holiday beverage!!

xx, Claire
