Only THREE days until Christmas?! I can’t believe it has passed by us so quickly! I am so looking forward to seeing my family and eating delicious homemade food AND Johnny’s Pizza. I love my family so much and I am so thankful for my roots in Louisiana! For years, the holidays have meant joyful times for me. However, I am more aware this year than before that the holidays can be quite the opposite for others. What’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year reminds you of the hardest times you’ve ever had in your life. I just want you to know this holiday season, before you open your presents, before you think about what happened around this time last year, before you have difficult conversations with your complicated family members…that Jesus is closer to you than ever right now. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that “the Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” I am so thankful that God loved us so much that He became us and felt every pain we would ever feel. Even the loss or pain that you are experiencing. He TRULY understands. He’s closer than our breath.
As Mackenzie and I wrap up our holiday series, we want to thank you so much for reading up the past week. Even if you weren’t able to use any of this this year, think about it next year and come back and read these. I understand that it is 3 days until Christmas, so you may not exactly get to buy these items, BUT we hope to inspire you to put things together that you may already have in your closet that reflect and express who you are!
Ahhh! Thank you Lydiah for making us look like Christmas princesses!
Mackenzie and I both LOVED how our outfits coordinated together. The red heels in my outfit bring it all together to look more Christmas-y, and they pop even more with Mackenzie’s red plaid button-up right next to me! With a Christmas outfit, it’s easy to get away with black in the outfit (that’s what I’m always looking for). I wanted to have a white top because my pinstripe pants had white in them and I thought the top would be great to bring it together. And, of course, you’ve got to have your fur in the winter! Our furs were different styles but similar colors, really bringing us together. I personally like carrying around a small purse in general, but especially when you are going to your Grandma’s house for holiday dinner, you want to bring a small load. Check out the full outfit details below.
My heels (starting from the bottom haha) are from Steve Madden. I actually got them from a Steve Madden store in San Fransisco in March (best time ever), so they aren’t available anymore but I have two very similar linked here (with ties) and here (without ties).
My AWESOME pinstripe pants are from H&M. They are high waisted and fit so well! I love that the slit in the front of them allows you to see my red heels better!
My top is from Forever 21 and it is really wonderful. It’s so unique and beautiful! I bought it for Woman Conference in September and I totally thought it was still available online but I can’t find it anywhere! 😦
My fur jacket is from Boohoo. I bought it last year, so it’s not available anymore but I have linked my favorite affordable furs this winter season below.
This wonderful purse is from Target! I am pretty sure they have more sizes and colors available too. It also comes with a shoulder strap but I loved how easy the rings were to carry. It’s so little but holds the essentials.
My earrings are from Target and came in a pack of gold and charcoal-colored earrings the same. I had to add gold to my Christmas outfit!
My fave furs under $100 for the winter (links are below photos):
Our lipstick is totally fading from after our Christmas dinner. Check out our “How to Host a Holiday Party” here.
My make up deets:
I fill in my eyebrows and do my eye shadow all in the same palette lol. I use the Tarteist PRO Amazonian Clay Palette literally every day because it’s so pigmented, smells delicious, and stays on all day.
For contour I used Sonia Kashuk bronzer and I love the color. The blush is Laura Geller Baked Blush-n-Brighten in Tropic Hues. My mom gave it to me and I love it because it makes my cheeks pop and it adds highlight. I added another highlight by Clinique.
My lipstick is actually a Clinique lipliner called Tawny Tulip.

Merry Christmas everyone! I’ll be back on Sunday with “Reflecting on the Little Things” as usual. I’ll probably be talking about the Christmas season and about family. Be sure to check back then!
