Reflecting on the Little Things

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday! I love Sundays so much. They’re my favorite day of the week! Going to church, seeing all my friends, finishing out the weekend. It’s just the best day. I hope y’all had a great week last week! Mine was pretty good.

I shot a bunch of photos on Thursday coming soon to the blog!! I am so excited because I am now going to post THREE times a week – upgrading from two haha.🎉 So it will be Reflecting on the Little Things on Sundays, an outfit post on Tuesday, and an outfit post on Thursday! WOOHOO. Be looking forward to those!

Friday I had an exam in my science class and I am so not good nor totally passionate about science but it’s one of those core classes (lol I’m a junior still taking freshman level classes help me God) that you just gotta take. I think I did pretty well. I think I’m finally getting a hang of this whole college thing and how to study for classes. Just in time for my senior year! Hahahaah. I’ve got two exams on Tuesday that I am HOPING to do well on. Won’t have a lot of time to study :/

This week was pretty regular for me. I got to hang with some great friends this week and that normally sets the mood for the week for me. God’s been showing me how He is providing for me lately, despite my fear that He wouldn’t. Specifically for a summer internship. We hear so many times in life that “if one thing doesn’t work out, that must mean God’s got something better for us” and I’ve heard that so many times that I almost hate hearing it now. Don’t get me wrong, God is in complete control of my life and I trust that He runs my life and won’t let anything happen that isn’t supposed to nor will He lead me in the wrong direction. But I can’t help but think “what if the next thing isn’t better?” “what if I have to settle for less because the best didn’t accept me?” But the truth is that God knows our best and that our lives are not all about us. To face the facts, my summer internship may not be as great as it could be but that might be for someone else’s sake. What if someone else really needed to fill the other position that I didn’t get? I won’t know the details but in the future, I will be able to look back on these days and know why one thing didn’t work out and the other did. God knows my life big picture and He goes before me.

Do y’all have a TV show that you just love so much you could watch over and over and never get tired of it? I have a few of those. One of them is Revenge. PLEASE comment and tell me if you watched that show. I have been rewatching it since January and every plot twist still shocks me as if I haven’t seen it before LOL. I’m in the final season (4) now and honestly I’m anxious to finish it because I wanna know how the series ends, even though I’ve seen it before.

Two songs that I like from my Discover Weekly this week are: Plans (feat. Brandyn Burnette) by Elephante and Pacing by Tep No.

On Valentine’s Day, I ate at Khana with a few friends then we went bowling with the college ministry afterwards! It was SO much fun. I just love hanging out with people.

I actually got to work out 3 times this week since I didn’t work a lot this week. My bestie roomie Dani took us through her soccer workout on Monday, then I did Zumba on Thursday and Saturday 🙂 I LOVE Zumba! So fun and a great workout.

I hope that you all have a fantastic week this week! Thanks for reading up today 🙂

xx, Claire
